The secret to growth lies in your expectations

Last year I took a course that I (tbh) thought was gonna solve all my problems. It didn’t. It actually made me feel very underwhelmed and annoyed bc I had wasted so much money on something that didn’t give me the results I wanted. I was even angry with my spleen because it gave me a yes to sign up for this course.

But as I am a firm believer that there is always something to learn from every experience I started going through it again. And I did realize that I had taken som unexpected learnings with me from this course after all.

💡I am more established in my field than I realized and that I should be discerning with what kind of courses I actually need to take.

💡I understood how I could structure and create my own courses and which softwares and tools I needed to do so.

💡I got insights around pricing and what (to me) is of value and how pricing should reflect that instead of someone’s ego.

💡I got clarity around what kind of teachers I wanted to learn from in the future.

So sure, I wish I could have my money back, but I came away with stuff I didn’t know I needed for myself and my business.

I invite you to think about an experience that didn’t turn out the way you thought it would and try to find the silver lining anyway. Look at the experience from a new perspective. What lessons did you take with you, what learnings? 🩷
