The Moon and your Purpose

When looking for things to make us feel good, we often find ourselves looking for outside solutions. We tend to look at others and what’s working for them. But we all have individual needs, our own ‘thing’ that works for us. Of course, it starts with our individual interests. Perhaps yoga or reading makes you unwind and feel good, but there is more to it than that. There are some key things to look at when it comes to your moon and purpose, because…

Understanding our moon, means understanding our emotional and inner needs.

Our moon in astrology represents our inner world, our emotions, what makes us feel good on the inside. Astrologer Steven Forrest says “take care of your moon and you’ll be happy.” So are you taking care of your moon? The moon sign and its house placements will give you clues as to what you need to feel good.

For example, if you are a Scorpio moon you need depth, truth, passion. If you have a Taurus moon you crave stability, longevity, resources, and all things Venusian (beauty, art, love, good food). If you have a 4th house moon, your home needs to feel good to you. If you have a 12th house moon, solitude will probably feel nurturing.

What motivates you?

The moon in Human Design represents our inner motivation and driving force. So if we start looking at what others are doing, what is working for them we get distracted and start comparing ourselves. What motivates you might not motivate someone else and vice versa.

The gates that were activated by the moon in your chart is the energy that keeps your inner fire burning. Tend to that energy, get to know it, understand the shadow and the gift of that energy.

Also remember that when it comes to motivation and willpower, only 37% of the population have constant access to it. It’s called having a defined Heart center. So I you have this center undefined, cut yourself some slack, you are not meant to feel motivated all the time. But understanding what motivates you, really is key.

Your moon placements and what they mean for you is something we dig into in my new course The Purpose Journey. Enroll today via link below 🩷
